Close the Window

“Our senses are our windows to the world, and sometimes the wind blows through them and disturbs everything within us. Some of us leave our windows open all the time, allowing the sights and sounds of the world to invade us, penetrate us, and expose our sad, troubled selves.”
                                                                                                ― Thich Nhat Hanh

Although I use Facebook for posting new work and studio news, I stopped reading nearly all  posts on Facebook a couple weeks ago because every time I logged-in and scanned my feed all I saw were images of dead and injured animals, personal horror stories, political propaganda, pushed advertising, misleading, inaccurate and just plain wrong information, and comments on some posts that were racist, homophobic, trans-phobic, anti-Semitic, violent and degrading to women and minorities.

I am much happier and way more productive now.

Until next time …
